Driving jobs to the Limestone Coast
Staff from Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast and The City of Mount Gambier were in Adelaide on Wednesday 18 August to showcase the region at a jobs fair for Holden and automotive supply chain workers.
More than 100 workers registered their interest in living and working in the Limestone Coast. RDALC chief executive David Wheaton said a strong message was delivered that there were plenty of jobs and opportunities for auto industry workers in the Limestone Coast.
“Holden, Ford and Toyota manufacturing operations will close by the end of 2017. We’d like auto workers contemplating their future to know they have skills our economy needs and there is a bright future for them here in the Limestone Coast,” Mr Wheaton said.
